HTC Legend Officially Unveiled at MWC 2010
Although we had the scoop since yesterday, it’s nice to finally see HTC stepping up and officially announcing their brand new HTC Legend straight from the halls in Barcelona. As expected, the stylish smartphone is covered in aluminum, packs a 3.2-inch AMOLED display (HVGA resolution though), runs on the same 1GHz processor as the Desire model, loses the trackball in favor of an optical trackpad and runs Android 2.1 with a bunch of goodies that include the company’s Sense UI with now brings the “Friend Stream” widget that will aggregate friends’ status updates across services.

A worthy HTC Hero successor, the new HTC Legend, just like the Desire, may not be available in the US straight away. From what we managed to hear the Legend will first hit the market on Vodafone in Europe sometime early in the second quarter (let’s assume first week of April), with nothing available regarding a North American debut.
Is it just us thinking that everything looks like a huge conspiracy that right after the Nexus One hit the market, phone manufacturers kind of declined to bring their Android smartphones to the US?
Meanwhile check out the HTC Legend promo video, looks quite sleek with that special design, isn’t it?
