HTC HD Mini Gets Official at MWC 2010
Just like we told you yesterday, HTC has unveiled a bunch of new smartphones. Just earlier you’ve seen the HTC Desire and the HTC Legend and now we’re looking at the HTC HD Mini. The HD Mini is to the HTC HD2 what the N97 Mini is to the Nokia N97; a smaller and cheaper version of the company flagship device.

The HTC HD Mini is a Windows Mobile phone but it will probably run just version 6.5.3 and an upgrade to Windows Phone 7 might never occur. So if you love the HD2 but you can’t afford getting it then you might want to check its baby brother.
The HTC HD Mini will not have the same high-end features of the HD2 but it’s still a smartphone worth checking out. The HD Mini will offer you a 3.2-inch capacitive HVGA touchscreen display, a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS & A-GPS, 5-megapixel camera, multitouch support and Windows Mobile 6.5.4 with new HTC Sense UI on top.
As you can see the HTC HD Mini is also a pretty interesting touchscreen smartphone. Although it lacks the large 4.3-inch display and the 1GHz Snapdragon processor of the HD2, the HD Mini is a more compact handset ready to offer you a very pleasant experience.
Unfortunately, as I said above, an upgrade to Windows Phone 7 is out of the question as the HTC HD Mini doesn’t meet the minimum hardware requirements issued by Microsoft. The HD Mini will be a great phone to play with until Microsoft and its partners launch the first Windows Phone 7-running devices.
The HD Mini will be available in European and Asian stores this April although we don’t have pricing details and actual arrival dates for you at this point.
It’s decision time, folks! Will you go for a new Android device from HTC; say the Desire or the Legend? Or will you choose a Windows Mobile 6.5-running HTC HD Mini?
