AT&T to Start Selling 3G iPads in Stores, Downplaying Netbooks
Just weeks ahead of actually being released to the market, the iPad makes the news again, this time, being rumored to be getting favorable treatment from AT&T who are going to start selling the device in their stores. Although none of this confirmed , it doesn’t come in as a surprise that AT&T and Apple are trying to make the most of the stylish tablet, which is why the US carrier is expected to have a substantial stock of 3G-enabled iPads and give them a prominent special display area (test area) by downplaying some of their netbooks.

Apple is well known for “imposing” AT&T to give them premium space for the iPhone, which is why such a strategy and the fact that AT&T is among the first to embrace non-phone devices at its shops (to be read as 3G netbooks or eBook readers) makes a lot of sense.
But the big question, how well is the iPad going to sell given the fact that it’s far from being the perfect tablet we’ve laid our eyes on — unlike the iPhone that has revolutionized the world and jumpstarted a new trend, smartphones. For those out of the know, although the iPad comes unlocked it only supports AT&T bands for 3G in the US. So maybe.
