Windows Phone 7 UI, Mystery Device Exposed at MWC 2010
Windows Phone 7 has been unofficially teased at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Spain. A promotional print of the new Windows Phone 7 UI was photographed behind a curtain before it was revealed.

The image of the Windows Phone 7 UI suggests a few early details about the OS and the mystery device on which it may be shown. This snapshot shows tiled icons for phone, text, outlook, facebook integration, pictures and the oft-rumored integration with XBOX Live. The device itself is simple and attractive, a typical touch-focused smartphone with three buttons at its base.
The Windows Phone 7 UI and hardware are suggested to feature multi-touch control and advanced media playback functionality. Obviously, such tech can’t be confirmed in a photo-only leak, but the Windows Phone 7 OS is expected to be revealed later in the day at MWC 2010. While the image certainly looks legit, we’re a bit confused by the otherwise bare promotional print. The image doesn’t include branding, product nomenclature, feature bullets or otherwise– its just a simple shot of a product running a UI that has yet to be seen. That’s not to suggest that this is a hoax, but only that this little breadcrumb leaves us even hungrier for the hard facts to drop this afternoon.
