Microsoft Considering Office for Apple's iPad
Knowing that Microsoft will be releasing Office for Mac 2011 later this year with a bunch of goodies that the Apple user will enjoy, it doesn’t come in as a surprise to learn that the Seattle-based company might also be considering Office for the much hyped and rumored Apple tablet, the iPad.

In a MacWorld interview with Mike Tedesco, Microsoft’s Senior Product Manager for the Macintosh business unit, our good friends from T3 found out that a version of Microsoft Office for the iPad is something that the company is really “looking at”. Tedesco thinks the iPad is still fresh, which is why he’s keeping tight-lipped giving any other details about when exactly you’re going to see Word or Powerpoint on Apple’s latest creation. On top of that, Tedesco also mentioned that they had tablet technology “forever” that works on both Windows 7 and Vista based tablets — like Apple users would care!
Apple already has its own productivity apps — Keynote, Pages and Numbers for $9.99 each, which is why the launch of Office for iPad should be taken with a grain of salt. But would you be among those to get it if they actually build it?
