HTC Legend Availability Confirmed With Dutch Carrier KPN
With so many rumors flying around concerning the new HTC Legend, by now we’re pretty sure it’s going to get green light sooner or later. Make that sooner guys, as we caught wind that Dutch wireless carrier KPN has just confirmed the HTC Legend yesterday when the Android smartphone has been officially presented on the company’s website as an upcoming model.

According to KPN, the new HTC Legend will mark its debut in the Netherlands sometime in March (although nothing specific for the moment). From what it looks like it will sport a similar design and specs with the GSM version of the Hero, except for the optical trackpad instead of a trackball.
Initial reports were speaking of a 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive 320×480 touchscreen display, the Qualcomm MSM7727 600MHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, GPS and AGPS support and Android 2.1 with Sense UI to run the show. Other specs include 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM, a microSD slot, FM radio, a 3.5mm jack and a 1300 mAh battery.
For now the Legend is only available for “reservation” with KPN, but we’re sure there’s more to find out about it in the next few days when the MWC kicks in, in Barcelona.
