Spotify For Nokia X6, Nokia 6760 Slide, Nokia 6700 Slide & Nokia E55
Back in November last year (where does the time go?) we brought you news concerning the release of the Spotify for Symbian App which serves to bring a fair range of Symbian OS based phones (specifically S60 OS) a slice of the Spotify revolution and now Spotify have just confirmed an update to their app that sees more Symbian based phones supported – as well as offering a number of optimisations for those who already run the app.

According to the official Spotify Blog, credited below, the latest iteration of the Spotify for Symbian App, specifically Version 0.3.23 (64201), now offers support for the Nokia X6, Nokia 6760 Slide, Nokia 6700 Slide and Nokia E55 on and above the pretty extensive range of S60 phones it already supported – see the above linked post for the full list of models that were already supported pre update.
Ass alluded to above, not only does Version 0.3.23 (64201) of the Spotify for Symbian App bring in four other Nokia phones into the fold it also brings a number of enhancements to the app such as rewritten code concerning text input on touchscreens – which now supports ‘special/unusual characters’ as well as hardware qwerty keyboards – as well other text input optimisations and revised code meaning that seeking on non-touchscreen phones is a far more fluid affair.
The updated version of the Spotify for Symbian App (Version 0.3.23 (64201)) is available as of now from here.
