Nokia Booklet 3G UK Availability Confirmed [Nokia Netbook to Begin Selling in the UK for a Hefty Price]
With so much hype around the iPad and with so many tablets invading the market these days, we wouldn’t hold it against you if you didn’t remember Nokia’s experiment in the netbook department, the new Booklet 3G mini laptop. Announced last year in the US with a price tag of $599, the Nokia Booklet 3G netbook has now crossed the Atlantic and has been officially announced to start selling in the UK.

Offering up to 12 hours of battery life to keep you connected all day long, the aluminum-finished Nokia Booklet 3G is powered by a 1.6GHz Z530 Atom processor, has a 10.1-inch HD-ready display, 1GB of RAM and a 120GB hard drive to store your data. It runs Windows 7 Starter, features an HDMI port to connect it to your HDTV or HD monitor, a webcam, A-GPS support, Ovi Maps and direct access to Nokia’s Ovi Suite, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity (via SIM).
Price wise the new Nokia Booklet 3G is going to sell for a hefty £649 price tag from Nokia’s online shop.
So why would people in the UK should pay almost double than what the US is getting the mini laptop for, because if you’re to do the math, $599 at today’s rate is only some £385. Right?
