Audi A1 Specs & Features Revealed Ahead of Geneva Debut

In the market for a new car but not sure exactly what to bring home? How about waiting a bit more for the new Audi A1 to release at the International Motor Show in Geneva next month. Speaking of the Audi A1′s debut, we just managed to get our hands on some interesting details about the four wheeler and by the looks of it, the car is definitely going to impress with its amazing specs and features.

A perfect mix between elegance and aggressiveness, the new Audi A1 has a progressive, coupe-like design that will grab the eye with its single frame grille, pronounced shoulder lines that make it look more agile or the color contrasting custom-look roof arch. Completing a nearly perfect exterior, there are sharply sloping C-pillars, “wings of an eagle” LED daytime running lights, LED taillights and 15- to 18-inch large wheels to go with.

Open the door, get in, and you’re being welcomed by the same premium interior that Audi is renowned for — the dash resembles with the wings of an airplane while the center console takes cues from the stern of a yacht, comes with a colorful upholstery, a media center, and a pop-up information display.

For those who’d like to know more regarding power options, there are quite a few choices to go with.

• 1.2-liter TFSI — 86 hp and 160 Nm of torque, 0-100 km/h in 12.1 seconds (five-speed manual), max speed 179 km/h, fuel consumption at 5.1 liters/100km (46.12 US mpg)
• 1.4-liter TFSI — 122hp and 200 Nm of torque, 0-100 km/h in 9.1 seconds (seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic) or 9.2 seconds (six-speed manual), max speed 200 km/h, fuel consumption at 5.1 (S tronic) and 5.4 (manual) liters per 100 km (43.56 and 46.12 US mpg)
• 1.6-liter TDI — 90hp and 230Nm of torque, 0-100 km/h in 12.2 seconds, max speed 179 km/h, fuel consumption at an astonishing 3.8 liters/100km (61.90 US mpg)
• 1.6-liter TDI — 105 hp and 250 Nm of torque, 0-100 km/h in 10.8 seconds, max speed 187 km/h, fuel consumption at 3.9 liters/100km (60.31 US mpg)

Regarding price, the new Audi A1 should sell for something close to €16,000, with a release date expected this summer.
