Notion Ink Adam Tablet to Take on iPad

Android-powered Adam Tablet to Bring Flash Support, 1080p Video & Better Battery Life Than iPad

It goes without question that the iPad is not the perfect tablet to go with these days as more and more companies have released new products trying to beat the Apple branded device, and one of those to win our hearts is Notion Ink’s new Adam tablet.

Promising to redefine the tablet market, the Android-powered Adam tablet from Notion Ink should be available in two versions, as a 12.9-inch thick model or even thinner with the 11.9-inch thick model (whereas the iPad is 13.4-inch thick), with Flash support, 1080p graphics and a better battery than the iPad. Speaking of battery, the slate features the latest-gen NVIDIA Tegra chipset and Pixel Qi’s innovative low-power display, which is why the Adam pad could run for 2-3x longer than the iPad manages.

Another advantage against the iPad, the Notion Ink tablet brings 1080p HD graphics to the game — much higher than the 576p you’re getting on Apple’s device.

Expected to debut with digital magazines, ebooks and comics sourced from large collaborators, Notion Ink will give us more about their Adam slate next week in Barcelona during the MWC 2010 show.

Looks great from our end, but we have a question. How about multi-tasking guys?
