Dell Ultra-Sharp U2711 IPS Monitor Boasts WQHD Resolution
Professional users not getting enough from their monitor setup should give the new Dell Ultra-Sharp U2711 a go. A high-end widescreen monitor that saw daylight last month during CES, the 27-inch UltraSharp U2711 delivers enhanced connectivity and usability, along with an amazing WQHD 2,560 x 1,440 resolution in a wide aspect 16:9 ratio — which is why work will never be the same again.

Making sure you’ll fall for it the new Ultra-Sharp U2711 features a billion-color depth (1.07 billion color palette to be more exact) and IPS technology, has a 6-millisecond response time, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 350 nits of brightness and a 12-bit internal processing to round things out. On top of that, the U2711 delivers with an impressive set of options to connect it: two DVI-D inputs, DisplayPort, VGA, composite, component, and HDMI ports, along with 4 USB ports and an 8-in-1 media card reader.
The new Dell Ultra-Sharp U2711 should ship in the US and Asia for a MSRP of $1,099, with Europe coming up “soon” — probably for much more.
Looks like the right thing to go with, if you’re like us and spend a lot of time in front of your computer monitor all day.
