Just ahead of this year’s MWC, set to commence next week, Samsung have opted to get official concerning their new TouchWiz 2.0 Plus touting phone, namely the Samsung Monte S5620.

The Samsung Monte S5620 sports a 3” 262K color WQVGA TFT capacitive touchscreen display and aside from coming with integrated 3.2 megapixel camera with 15fps QVGA video capture capabilities also sports inbuilt FM tuner with RDS, a music player offering MP£, AAC, AAC+ and WMA file format support, A-GPS and, in terms of connectivity both WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 are in evidence along with an onboard USB 2.0 port.

Additional highlights (though this is by no means either a smartphone or a particularly highly specified phone in general) include ActiveSync support, Google Maps 3.0 integration and a full HTML web browser capable of operating in both landscape and portrait orientations whilst you can also factor in that (increasingly important) social network support with the likes of MySpace, Facebook, Bebo and Twitter being accessible via widgets whilst, if you’re looking for IM support, you’ll be please to know that a the IM functionality offered by the Samsung Monte S5620 offers full support of all the usual suspects.

Unfortunately, at this juncture, there’s no word from Samsung concerning the pricing of the Samsung Monte S5620 or any specific date of release (or, for that matter, any indication as to which markets the Monte S5620 will be targeted at).
