LG GT350 Gets Official [LG GT350, Successor of the LG KS360 “Lets You Social Network Like a Pro”]

Earlier today Andrew showed you the LG Mini GD880 but that’s not the only LG-crafted handset to be officially unveiled today. The company thought it was time for its previous KS360 model to get a successor and thus the GT350 was conceived. The phone is said to “let you social network like a pro” but it also knows to perform other interesting tricks.

The GT350 is a candybar touchscreen phone that also sports a full QWERTY keyboard. Its predecessor was quite a hit messaging phone that sold in over five million units worldwide since August 2008. Not bad for a feature phone, right?

The LG GT350 will offer you a 3-inch full touchscreen display and a slide-out four-line full QWERTY keyboard. These are definitely some nice upgrades considering that the KS360 only had a partial touch-friendly screen and a three-line QWERTY keyboard.

While the LG GT350 is not the smartphone you might be looking for, you will be pleasantly surprised by its messaging capabilities when it comes to SMS and emails but also by its social networking features. The interface is “optimized for social networks.” As you expect there’s Facebook and Twitter support but other social networks are also available. Information from multiple social networks is conveniently displayed on the screen which means you can easily check friends’ status updates and send out your own.

The handset has a shortcut key on the keypad for direct access to social networks and it also comes with keys for push e-mail, web browser and instant messengers.

The phone will be available in crazy color combinations like Aqua Blue, plain Purple or Black and Light Silver. The device will arrive in European stores in April followed by other markets immediately after. Pricing details are currently unavailable for now so we’ll be waiting for a future LG announcement to reveal them.
