Google Nexus One Phone Support Now Live

Nexus One Live Tech Support Promises 'A Superior Nexus One Customer Experience' Says Google

Until now if you’ve been having technical issues with your Nexus One smartphone you’ve had the option of hitting the Nexus One support forums or emailing your issues to Google, neither of which, it has to be said, seemed especially customer focused – but now that’s all changed thanks to Google launching a dedicated Nexus One phone line allowing those experiencing technical issues to speak with live tech support operatives.

Yes, arguably, it really should have been available at the point of lunch of the Nexus One but considering that Google’s support systems are, in truth, fairly lacklustre across the board the launch of this dedicated support phone line for the Google smartphone is somewhat of a departure for Google who appear to have taken it well and truly on board that its customers genuinely need somewhat more of a fallback in times of need that merely shooting off emails or posting on forums (for other users invariably to answer in the absence of any official responses).

“By design, we focused initially on providing the best possible customer support through our on-line channel, and our experience in the four weeks since the Nexus One launch enabled us to significantly enhance that on-line support offering. We have been able to address a large majority of customers’ inquiries successfully through on-line support, in combination with phone support from our partners, HTC and T-Mobile,” a Google spokesperson said. “That said, our approach with our new consumer channel is to learn fast and continue to improve…Live phone support from Google, combined with an optimized on-line support experience, enables a superior Nexus One customer experience.”

The new Nexus One support line, which can be accessed by dialling (888) 48NEXUS (63987), is open from between 4 a.m. and 7 p.m. PST.
