Canon Announces Four New PhowerShot Cameras: SX210 IS, SD3500 IS, SD1400 IS and SD1300 IS

Canon decided it was time for some new PowerShot compact cameras in our lives so it popped a press release detailing not one, not two, but four new PowerShot point and shoot machines. The PowerShot SX210 IS, PowerShot SD3500 IS, PowerShot SD1400 IS and PowerShot SD1300 IS are now official and you could start thinking about replacing your current digital cameras with one of those newly released models.


The new cameras will offer you “increased shooting flexibility in a number of settings through advancements to the Smart Auto mode while offering greater photo personalization and enhanced creativity with new Scene Modes and Image effects.” That sounds nice but let’s see what this babies can really do!

The Canon PowerShot SX210 IS will feature a 28mm wide-angle lens with 14x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilization, 14.1-megapixel resolution, 3.0-inch LCD, and full HD video recording. Eye-Fi support is also for fast wireless connectivity and the camera will be available later next month for $349.99.

The Canon PowerShot SD3500 IS comes with a 24mm ultra-wide angle lens with 5x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilization, 14.1-megapixel resolution, 3.5-inch wide touchscreen LCD, HD video recording, and Eye-Fi support. The camera will be available in black, silver and pink and it will cost $329.99 later this month when it hits the stores.

The Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS measures less than one inch in thickness and comes with a 28mm wide-angle lens with 4x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilization, 14.1-megapixel resolution and HD video recording. The camera will cost just $249.99 and it will be available later this month in stores.

The Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS digital camera is the most affordable of the bunch as it will cost just $199.99 later this month. It comes with a 28mm wide-angle lens with 4x Optical Zoom, Optical Image Stabilization, 12.1-megapixel resolution and a 2.7-inch LCD with PureColor System.

Before I ask you which one you like best I’ll also take a second to tell you that all cameras come with support for SDXC memory for up to 2TB. Well, what PowerShot model would you rather have?
