Motorola Zepplin Clearly Seen In Pictures [New Entry-Level Android Phone Coming To T-Mobile In March]

We at TFTS have had our eyes on the phone known as the Motorola Zeppelin for a very long time. Tech blog Gizmodo got some very clear shots of the device, which you can see above, and we’ve also received a new set of rumored specs for the new Android handset.

Rumor and hearsay put the specs of the Motorola Zepplin with the following stats – a Qualcomm processor that runs at 528MHz, 256MB of RAM, 512MB of flash storage, a 3.1-inch touchscreen seems likely and fits with the pictures. Rounding out the specs is the alleged 5-megapixel camera.

Speculation has the phone shipping with Android 1.5, with an Android 2.1 OTA upgrade coming sometime in Q2 2010. As all of Motorola’s devices, it’ll be wrapped up with Motorola’s MOTOBLUR UI.

As for the release of the device, I highly doubt it’ll ship with its codename of Zeppelin, and the experts at AndroidandMe are predicting that Motorola will add it to their CLIQ line, and that’ll be marketed as a entry-level device, with a price of $150 with a two-year contract.

As for even more Motorola Zeppelin rumors, everything seems to be pointing towards T-Mobile releasing the phone in the United States on March 10th. It’s been confirmed that Motorola has purchased commercial space during Super Bowl XLIV, the biggest TV commercial day in the United States all year. It could be that Motorola is planning to unveil the Zeppelin, or other new Android phones, during their ad space, which only cost them $2.8 million for 30 seconds.
