HP G62t Laptop Arrives With Core i3 Processor [HP G62t Gets Envy Styling, Core i3 Processor Standard]

HP has added a bit of power and class to its budget family of notebooks.  The new HP G62t laptop has an obvious styling influence from the HP Envy line of laptops, also borrowing the latest Core i3, i5 and i7 processors– but starting at the lower price of $599.

The HP G62t laptop features the aforementioned Intel Core i3 processor (with the i5 or i7 available as options), 3GB or 4GB DDR3 RAM, up to 500GB of HDD storage, a 15.6-inch LED-backlit display and an optional Blu Ray player.  Starting at $599, its on the low end of available Core i3 laptops, whereas most in this price range are still running an Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

While the design of the HP G62t laptop is still basic and budget, it features the black-edged display and curved-bottom base unit that is reminiscent of the HP Envy line of laptops.  Adding that bit of design sensibility to their budget line of laptops could pay dividends for HP, as styling can play a significant role in computer purchases whether the consumer is aware of them or not.  The HP G62t is shipping now, starting at $599.
