Gateway Reveals Gateway FX6831 Gaming PC

Gateway has announced a new gaming PC packed with performance hardware in two models starting at $1,300.  The Gateway FX6831 Gaming PCs feature the same processors, storage, graphics chips and audio support, while the higher end version features 16GB DDR3 RAM and a Blu Ray player.

The new Gateway FX6831 Gaming PCs are powerhouses in their own right, but are priced competitively against the high end machines from other manufacturers.  The new FX6831 is available in two models with the same features save for a RAM and Blu Ray upgrade in the FX6831-03.  These gaming PCs include Intel Core i7-860 processors at 2.8GHz, 1 GB ATI Radeon HD5850 graphics, a 1.5TB SATA hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium.

The FX6831-01 will ship for $1,299.99 and include 8GB DDR3 RAM and a 16X DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti Drive.  The higher-end FX6831-03 will be priced at $1,699.99 and will include the aforementioned 16GB DDR3 RAM and a Blu-ray disc 4X BD-ROM / DVD-SuperMulti Drive.  Beyond the upgrade in memory and Blu Ray playback, the look of the two Gateway FX6831 Gaming PCs remain the same, coming in a slick black case with subtle red detail.
