Google Tablet Running Chrome OS Coming This Year? [Rumors Suggest Chrome OS-based Google Tablet Is in the Making]
Apple has opened the flood gates and now they have to be ready for the competition in this reinvented niche. After the debut of the iPad Cupertino’s main competitors will come up with various tablets in order to quench our tablet thirst.

But is everyone trying to actually meet our needs? Do we really require the use of a tablet in our day to day life? Or are these money-hungry companies simply trying to convince us that we need such a gadget and we need it now?
Apple has done a good job reinventing the tablet. And although I would have liked to say they did a tremendous job, they still have some tweaking to do before the iPad can become a model in the tablet business.
Other manufacturers are going to hurry to pitch their own tablets to the public. And they might have what it’s needed to insure success. One of them is Apple’s newest rival in the mobile business. Google is rumored to be working on a tablet of its own and what’s more interesting about it is the fact that it’s supposed to be a Chrome OS-based tablet.
The pictures and video are coming straight from Google’s Chrome UI lead designer which means that tablets are definitely on Google’s agenda. No specifications have been offered at this time but we’d imagine that the Chrome OS tablet will be able to fight against the iPad.
That questionable Joojoo tablet we were talking about yesterday is rumored, among other things, to run Chrome OS too. This means that even if Google won’t launch its own Chrome OS tablet, some other manufacturer will.
Will the Chrome OS tablet offer multitasking? How about Flash support? Front-facing camera? While we find the answer to these questions we have one more important thing to consider; do we want more tablets? We still haven’t figured out if tablets are really something that we absolutely need but, nevertheless, manufacturers are throwing more and more concepts at us.
