ExoPC Windows 7 Tablet Announced
A bit disappointed with what the Apple iPad packs under the hood or you have somethign against Apple products, there’s a new alternative, the Windows 7 alternative. Dubbed the ExoPC tablet, this 8.9-inch multi-touch device runs on a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor (similar to what netbooks feature these days), has 2GB of DDR2 RAM memory, a 32GB solid state drive and an SD card to expand in case you need more space.

So what’s different from the iPad, except for the manufacturer — the ExoPC does bring Flash support and has multi tasking (courtesy of running Windows 7) which means that you’re now able to play media files while working on that presentation for work. Other specs include WiFi (802.11 b/g) and Bluetooth connectivity, an Ethernet port, 1.3mp webcam , 3USB ports, VGA out and CDMA/SIM slot.
Power comes from a pretty average battery that only promises a 4 hour runtime between charges, but there’s and advantage that it’s removable and that you can always carry an extra battery with you when traveling.
The new ExoPC Windows 7 tablet is going to be released sometime in March and should retail at $599 (just like the 32GB iPad without 3G support).
