Lenovo IdeaPad G455A Debuts in China
Although AMD’s new processors have been introduced to ThinkPad models for a while now, it looks like the CPUs have made it to IdeaPad models, only today. Officially announced as a China-only model for now, the new Lenovo IdeaPad G455A is more like an affordable alternative to a netbook as it comes with a 14-inch display that does 1,366 x 768 pixels resolutions and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4550 graphics card to render your video.

Speaking of AMD processors, the IdeaPad G455A runs on an Athlon II M320 CPU that clocks in at 2.1 GHz, has 1GB of RAM and a 250GB SATA hard drive bundled with Windows 7 Basic. On top of that there’s a 0.3 megapixel camera (ewwww), Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) connectivity, 3 USB and one VGA port, all packed in a 345 × 235 × 26.2 – 35.9 mm package that weighs a good 2.3 kilo.
No word on how soon or if the new Lenovo IdeaPad G455A will reach the US shore, but if you have a stop in China you’ll be able to buy one for 3,999 Yuan (or some $585 at today’s rate).
