Android-powered Dell Mini 5 Tablet Release Date Confirmed
Everywhere you look someone talks about a tablet PC! Along with Apple’s iPad or ASUS and their plans to build one, the folks from Dell are the latest to join the bandwagon? An Android-powered Snapdragon slate that saw daylight during CES 2009, the new Mini 5 tablet has been confirmed and showed off today by the company’s CEO, Michael Dell, who was attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

For those who don’t know it, the Dell Mini 5 tablet is going to pack a 5-inch touchscreen dispaly, is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity. The slate boasts a 5 megapixel camera and runs Android 1.6 (although we’re hoping for Android 2.1 by the time it launches).
Speaking of launch, although last month we heard from the company’s employees that the Dell Mini 5 is just a concept, today Michael Dell slipped the fact that the tablet is going to be in stores “in a couple of months”.
As cool as that may sound, there Mini 5 has a big drawback — the $1.1k rumored price tag (before carrier subsidy).

I am using dell mini 5″ (dell streak) but there is less application for satisfying my demand, such as I can not read 2007 version word file, or compose mail, check mail on yahoo mail, etc.Meanwhile, as I read the information on dell.com webside, there is more application than I have now. I wonder when will I reveal this Dell’s version pleseant.
