Dell Adamo Hits a Three Digit Price Tag

Dell Adamo Admire Now Available For $999

The Dell Adamo line of luxury laptop computers has undergone a price drop that brings them closer to an affordable reality.  The Dell Adamo Admire will be available for $999, while the flagship Dell Adamo Desire drops $500 to $1,799.

For PC laptops, its tough to find a product as sexy as the Dell Adamo.  While the steep prices of the Adamo laptops were out of reach of most consumers, they’re now not far off from the comparable Apple and HP laptops thanks to this price adjustment.  The Dell Adamo Admire now sells for just $999, the first of the line to fall under four figures, while the Dell Adamo Desire has dropped from $2,299 to $1,799.

The Dell Adamo Admire features a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Windows 7 Home Premium, 2GB DDR3 RAM and a 128GB solid state drive.  The somewhat sexier Dell Adamo Desire features a 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Windows 7, 4GB RAM and a 256GB SSD.  Both units feature a 13.4-inch WLED display, a full-size backlit keyboard, a 1.3MP camera and roughly 5 hours of battery life standard.  While these stats don’t really fetch such high prices, the design of the Dell Adamo laptops is the reason for the premium.  Now that these prices are bit more consumer friendly, it’s hard to argue that they’re not worth the money.
