MSI Wind U135 Pine Trail Netbook US Release Confirmed

MSI’s First Pine Trail Netbook Ships Stateside

We have covered the Pine Trail touting MSI Wind U135 – MSI’s first Pine Trail netbook – a couple of times to date on TFTS and now, if you happen to be based stateside, and you fancy getting your hands on one, you’ll be glad to know that MSI have confirmed its now shipping in the US.

Utilising the newer 1.66GHz Atom processor which, thanks to its low power consumption sees the Wind U135 putting in a sterling performance in terms of battery life – its 3-cell battery offering up to a 7.5 hours to be exact – the Wind U135 also offers up 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard disk (yes, its all standard netbook fair) as well as integrated 802.11n WiFi connectivity.

The MSI Wind U135 Pine Trail netbook is billed as being yours for some $330 but Amazon already have it listed (and in stock) with a price of $316.99 if you’re looking at making a saving. That said, if you’re interested in more battery life and a larger capacity HDD you may want to hold out for now as a 250GB touting, 6-Cell equipped Wind U135 is apparently in the works.
