Absolutely no USB ports! I understand that the device is slim and it looks good. But seriously Apple, you couldn’t include at least one USB port? I will have to buy an adapter which chances are that I am going to lose in order to connect various devices to my iPad.

Steve Jobs gets off on being withholding. Thank you Arrested Development for giving me just the right phrase to describe Mr. Jobs. Why you Apple fans remain Apple fans is beyond me. When the iPhone came out, 3g was the new standard going into all new smart phones. It didn't make it into the iPhone, and you still bought it. No voice dialing until the 3gs... you still bought it. Buggy bluetooth? You still bought it. No flash? You still bought it.

Why are you disappointed in the iPad? It doesn't have multitasking, flash, USB, a camera, or anything ANY of the other tablets coming out this year will have... why? So Jobs can come out and make a big deal about the next gen of iPad having a camera?!?!? And you people think he's innovative, and that his products are cutting edge tech!

Why why why why why? Steve Jobs is suing everyone trying to compete with him, people who are actually making devices with the best technology currently available, and you're behind him all the way? By handing him your money indiscriminately you are enabling his withholding @ss! Why do you do it? I want innovative new products, things like the Notion Ink Adam. That tablet demolishes the iPad in every single way. I want the HTC Evo 4g, which is way ahead of any iPhone, and probably will be way ahead of the iPhone HD... meanwhile Steve Jobs is suing HTC. Take this time to actually read the patents he's suing over...

"Unlocking A Device By Performing Gestures On An Unlock Image" - really, that's patentable? That's already been done... way before the iPhone, and way before they had the patent filed or issued. It was used by carputers in the early 2000s.

"System And Method For Managing Power Conditions Within A Digital Camera Device" Yeah, this has been around for a LONG time too, it was taken for granted as common sense, which was a mistake once Jobs got a hold of it.

Half of these patents cover stuff invented for desktop OS solutions!!! In other words, as Apple would have it, everyone that's ever innovated on desktops should start suing cell phone manufacturers, because cell phones are just mini computers that have to at least use some of the same technology.

Thanks for supporting this guy Chris... I'm really going to enjoy the future of Apple-land once all innovation is stifled. Then it'll be five years in between a device launch and adding a camera and common user requests.

After that list why would you still buy one? Is it some perceived "coolness" factor, or alternatively some "just gotta have the lastest gadget" thing? I've been reading about i-Pads today and can't see a single reason to buy one, only plenty of reasons not to. I can't see why a cheap laptop is better than the "cheap laptop" the i-Pad is supposed to be. Buy a Dell Inspiron 10" mini and get a better keyboard (extra $ with the i-Pad), better screen (16:9, not 4:3, and higher resolution), run whatever apps (and even OS) you want, don't have to send back to the manufacturer when the battery dies, batteries last much longer, get internet acccess on your own terms, multi-task etc. What am I missing? If i-Pad was actually cheaper than a cheap laptop, then maybe I can see it, but right now I can't. (Of course the price of MacBooks probably makes it "cheaper", but Apple needs to consider that MacBooks aren't the only laptops available...)
