Pentax Optio I-90, H90 & E90 Compact Digital Cameras Get Official [New Pentax Optio Digital Cameras Announced Following Earlier Leak]
Just yesterday Alex spotted for you three new Optio compact digital cameras from Pentax and it looks the company decided to make them all official following the unwanted leak. The Optio I-10, H90 and E90 have all been properly announced so naturally we will also have to take a proper look at them.

The Pentax Optio I-90 is apparently the most unique of the three. It has a design “inspired by the classic look of film SLR cameras.” The camera comes with a wide angle, 5x optical zoom lens, a 12.1-megapixel high-resolution CCD sensor, a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD and HD video capture at 720p at 30fps. The I-90 has plenty of features meant to help you take better, faster pictures: mechanical sensor shift Shake Reduction, Pixel Track Shake Reduction technology, Smile Capture, Blink Detection, Face Detection and an optional remote control. The Optio I-90 will be available in February for $299.95.
The Pentax Optio H90 comes with specs like a wide angle, 5x optical zoom lens, a 12.1-megapixel high-resolution CCD sensor and widescreen HD video capture at 720p at 30 fps. Improved Pixel Track Shake Reduction technology, Face Detection, Smile Capture and Blink Detection features are also present and the H90 will be available in February for $179.95.
The Optio E90 is the cheapest camera of the three and it will cost you just $99.95 when it hits stores next month. Expect to get from it specs like a 10-megapixel CCD, a 3x wide angle zoom lens, 2.7-inch LCD and lots of features that will improve the quality of your pictures. Among them you’ll find the Auto-Picture mode that will select the best shooting settings no matter what scene you’re shooting and the high 6400 ISO that can freeze the subject movement in Digital Shake Reduction mode.
Before you choose your next Pentax Optio camera you’ll have to know that the first two models will also be ready to offer you support for Eye-Fi wireless memory cards but the E90 will not get Eye-Fi connectivity. Ready to select your Optio now?
