Google Nexus One Walmart Deal – Nexus One for $99?
After a disappointing first week when they managed to sell only 20,000 units Google is getting more serious about their Nexus One smartphone and seems to have partnered with Walmart Wireless to start selling the device. Known for selling most of the high end Android handsets announced in the last few months , Walmart Wireless have just listed the Nexus One as a “coming soon” product.

What makes the announcement extremely interesting is the fact that reading under “network technology” we found out that the Walmart Nexus One will support both 1xEvDO networks, that’s Sprint and Verizon 3G, and UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900 bands used by AT&T 3G.

It goes without saying that coming to Verizon is not a big surprise as Google previously announced that the Nexus One will be offered to Big Red customers in the near future, the juicy aspect is that AT&T — the nation’s largest and the only iPhone carrier in the US – is in the cards, too.
On top of that, another mind blower is that the Walmart Nexus One is rumored to sell for a cheap $99 on a two year agreement — which is much less, compared to the $179 T-Mobile subsidized contract, but don’t get your hopes too high, there’s nothing official regarding pricing, yet.
