With climate change and rising energy costs on everybody’s mind these days, ULV (ultra-low-voltage) computers are becoming more popular, especially in Asia. The Core 2 Duo processor will feature a clockspeed of 1.3GHz. For RAM, no word on what the default configuration will come with, but the computer will use fast DDR3 memory. Graphics will be provided by an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5430 discreet graphics card, with 1GB of VRAM.

MSI has included their own “3D Boost” technology which, according to them, helps balance graphics performance and battery life, which leads us to suspect that it shuts off the GPU when it’s not in use. The X620 will include a giant 8-cell battery, and MSI promises 11 hours of battery life.

The whole machine will be built into a 15-inch body that has won the 2010 German iF product desgin award. The computer features a chiclet keyboard, and the trackpad will be multi-touch equipped. A nice feature that MSI has included, a user can disable the trackpad to prevent accidental trackpad touching.

The 1.3-megapixel webcam built into the device will offer MSI’s Easy Face face recognition technology. There is a plethora of ports on the notebook, with the notable ones being HDMI and eSATA. Overall, the whole thing will weigh 2.5kg. MSI hasn’t given out any details on pricing or availability, yet.
