Maingear F1X Gaming Destkops Revealed [New Hardcore Extreme Desktops To Feature Factory Overclocked Core i7s, 12GB RAM]
Maingear has added three new high-powered gaming desktops to their stable of desktop offerings. The new high-end F1X line will be offered via TigerDirect and will feature Core i5 and Core i7 processors, as well as extremely cutting edge graphics cards from ATI, including dual ATI Radeon HD 5870 cards.

The Maingear F1X 200 will be the lowest-price entry in the F1X line. They’re asking $2,250 for it, and it will feature a Core i5-750 processor (factory overclocked to 2.93GHz), 8GB of DDR3 memory, dual ATI Radeon HD 5750 cards (total VRAM of 2GB), and will have 1TB of Storage.
The next level up is the Maingear F1X 500 (price – $3,100), which will have an Core i7-590 processor that’s factory overclocked to 3.3GHz. It’ll have an insane 12GB of DDR3 RAM and will feature dual ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB cards, and it’ll have a 1TB “Black Edition” hard drive from Western Digital.
The flagship Maingear F1X 750 (price – $5,150) will feature a Core i7-975 processor that’s overclocked to 3.6Ghz. It’ll feature the same 12GB DDR3 as the 500-machine, and will have dual ATI Radeon HD 5870 cards. It will have an 80GB SSD drive for boot files, and a 1.5TB HDD For hard storage. It’ll also feature a Blu-Ray drive.
All of these computers will feature Maingear’s X20 water cooling system. Unlike some water cooling platforms, it’ll be a maintenance free, closed loop design. An enthusiast user could build their own computer with the same specs for a lot less, but you’re also buying into Maingear’s warranty and service program, which, they say is “the best in-house support team in the country.” All of the new Maingear F1X computers are now shipping from TigerDirect.
