Rollei Flexline 100 inTouch Digital Camera Revealed [German Digital Camera Features 'Cute' Sub-Compact Design, 10-megapixel sensor]

German Camera Manufacturer Rollei has shown off a new digital fotoapparat that is sure to turn a few heads. The Flexline 100 inTouch features a flat case design and will come in either black, blue, or pink. Rollei is marketing the device as much as a fashion accessory as they are a digital camera.

On the hardware side, it isn’t a bad digital camera. It’ll have a 10-megapixel sensor, with 3x zoom, and 21 different image filters, if you like that sort of thing. It’ll also have smile and face detection. Through the wide 3-inch touchscreen (which is now standard on all Rollei cameras) located on the back of the device, users will be able to edit photos right from the camera and save them right to the memory card.

Obviously, you won’t have the full features of Photoshop, but the onboard editing software will support things like cropping and color adjustments. The camera will contain an accelerometer that will detect the orientation of the camera when pictures were taken and rotate the pictures accordingly.

The camera will also be able to shoot either video or an odd high-speed serial picture function that will let users take 30 pictures a second, which will essentially be a video slideshow. Other common place features like panorama-mode will also be supported. Camera blog letsgodigital.org is reporting that this Flexline camera is celebrating Rollei’s 90th birthday. The device is now shipping in Europe only for €200 ($283) with no word on a North American release.
