Verizon Wireless Announces New Unlimited Voice Plans [Big Red Plans Include Unlimited Talk & Text Paired with “Robust” Data]
Just as we told you yesterday Verizon has big plans in mind, and by plans I do mean a change in your regular voice and data plans. Verizon’s intentions, leaked yesterday, and covered here on TFTS, have now been made official.

Big Red announced some new unlimited voice plans that include unlimited talk and text “to pair with robust data plans.” Well that sounds exotic, doesn’t it? But will it meet your monthly needs?
As expected, the new data plans will be available starting with next Monday, January 18.The new Nationwide Unlimited Talk plan lets customers make unlimited calls within the U.S. for $69.99 per month. If you want to add some SMS messages to that then you should probably get the new Nationwide Unlimited Talk and Text Plan which includes unlimited “text, picture and video messages” for $89.99 per month.
There are also some Nationwide Family SharePlans to choose from. Nationwide Unlimited Talk Family SharePlans will cost you $119.99 per month while adding the unlimited text in the Nationwide Unlimited Talk and Text Family SharePlans will cost you an extra $30 per month. The Family plans include two lines of service but then you’ll be able to add more once you need them.
The “robust” data plans start at $9.99 per month, a plan that will be required for all 3G multimedia phones and which includes up to 25MB of monthly traffic. The previous $19.99 data package has been discontinued which means you’ll pay less if you choose the basic data plan to be bundled with your regular voice and text plans.
Those of you opting for an Android, BlackBerry or Windows Mobile device will be required to get data plans starting at $29.99. Everyone else using “Simple Feature phones” will pay $1.99 per used megabyte in case they don’t want to pick any of the available data plans.
Now we’ll be all waiting for Verizon to drop those ETFs, right folks?
