iBuyPower Battalion Touch Gaming Laptop Starts Selling

During this year’s CES in Las Vegas, the folks from iBuyPower have managed to impress us once again after officially introducing the world’s first multi-touch gaming notebook. Of course, they failed to announce anything regarding price and availability, but we sit tight and just one week later we’re finding out that the new iBuyPower Battalion Touch CZ-10 has just become available.
Starting from a rather affordable $999, the Touch CZ-10 comes with a 15.6″ WXGA 1366×768 touch screen, packs a 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo Mobile P8700 Dual-Core processor under the hood, along with 2GB of RAM and ATI’s Mobility Radeon HD 4650 3D graphics card with 512 MB of RAM.
Other specs for the standard version include a 250GB hard drive that spins at 5,400 rpm, an optical drive, a built-in 3-in-1 media card reader, the usual WiFi connectivity, a 2-megapixel webcam and Windows 7 Home Premium.
Of course you could go for the top notch and choose a 3.06 GHz T9900 processor and 8GB of RAM, but that would cost at least $1,840, unless you change other things too — like the “Flame” theme that will make you shell out another $150 if the metallic black won’t fancy you.
