Genius G-Shot HD550T HD Camcorder Announced

Although Genius took the wraps of its new G-Shot HD550T camcorder four months ago, in October, it looks like they have done a great job slacking off, as we caught wind today that the device finally finding its way to UK customers starting January 18th.
Aimed at budget consumers, or better said vloggers, YouTube or Vimeo users, the new Genius G-Shot HD550T is a high definition device delivering 720p video quality (1280×720 at 30 frames per second) and 12-, 8- and 5-megapixel still images. The camcorder boasts a 3-inch touchscreen display that swivels for when you need to picture yourself and which features slow motion playback which can show the clip from 1/2x – 1/16x to slow down the clip, has 32GB of built-in memory and has room for a dual SD slot, both supporting SDHC cards for an extra 64GB of (2 x 32GB).
The new Genius G-Shot HD550T records MJPEG/H.264 video, comes with a modest 3x optical zoom lens and has a HDMI port to connect it to your HDTV or HD monitor. It runs on a Li-ion battery (but also has the option for AA batteries if you forgot to charge it the night before) and should cost you just shy of £110 (or some $180 at today’s rate).
