BlackBerry Curve 8910 Leaks Online

Does anyone remember the BlackBerry Atlas that we caught in the wild, last September? Well, it looks like the smartphone is actually being built as today one of our TFTS ninjas have found out a leaked picture with a BlackBerry Curve 8910, right after being introduced as a device that recently received Bluetooth SIG certification — and the similarities between the two, are definitely not just a coincidence.
Pretty similar with the Curve 8900 except for EDGE-only (yes, no 3G) and a touchpad to replace the old trackball, the new BlackBerry Curve 8910 brings the same style pad, 256MB of RAM, a not so fast 624MHz processor, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and Wi-Fi connecvity, and a 3.2 megapixel camera. And if our sources are correct it runs OS 5.0.4+.
But was a Curve 8910 really necessary given the fact that the smartphone will be somehow positioned between the 8900 and the new Bold 9700? Probably not! In the meantime the BlackBerry Curve 8910 (call it the Atlas if you’d like) is expected to be released in Europe and Asia at a yet-to-be-determined date, but there’s nothing official about it right now.
