Motorola XT720 to Debut in South Korea

Motorola is rumored to have a new model in the works, specifically built for the South Korean market. Similar with the new XT701 that recently saw light on China Unicom, the new Motorola XT720 is expected to be released on SK Telecom (the country’s largest mobile operator) as the carrier’s first Android-powered mobile phone.

Specs wise, rumors have it that we’re looking at a rather large 3.7 inch WVGA touchscreen display, bulit-in GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity along with a HDMI port. But that’s not all as the new Motorola XT720 is also supposedly featuring mobile TV (T-DMB), an 8 megapxiel camera with autofocus and flash and BLUR.
On the other side, there are the folks from Mirae Asset Research who say that the XT720 only comes with a 5 megapixel camera and that the display only does 480 x 640 resolutions. The same guys think that a release date for the Motorola XT720 is imminent, sometime next month.
No word on how much you’ll have to pay for the XT720, but our bet is that it’s not coming in cheap.
