Dell Studio XPS 8100 Desktop PC Boasts Core i5 & i7 Processors [Promises a ‘More Immersive Media Experience’]
Dell has updated its range of Studio XPS desktop PCs with the new Intel Core i5 and Core i7 touting Dell Studio XPS 8100 which is billed as offering a more immersive media experience thanks, in no small part, to packing THX TruStudio PC technology, GPU options up to an ATI Radeon HD 5770 or Nvidia GTX 260 and, by no means least, optional 3D visual output.
The new Dell Studio XPS 8100 Desktop PC, as with the vast majority of Dell’s offerings, has a considerable range of user optional available but, if you want to kit out the XPS 8100 with the highest configuration available you can factor in up to 16GB of DDR3 1333MHz SDRAM, dual 1TB SATA HDDs in RAID 0 configuration, Blu-ray Burner, 1792MB Nvidia GeForce GTX260 graphics, TV tuner with remote, and integrated WiFi (yes, WiFi is just an optional extra which, lets be honest here, is pretty lame).
If you’re happy not to opt in for all the bells and whistles and go for the lowest spec Studio XPS 8100 available you’ll find the price coming in at a pretty reasonable $649 but, as you’ll appreciate, the moment you start getting in and adding extras or going for upgrades you’ll see the overall cost escalate (potentially) pretty steeply.
