The 2100MHz HSDPA/WCDMA/Quadband GSM/EDGE HTC Smart has been confirmed as being powered by a 300MHz processor paired with 256MB of RAM (and 256MB of ROM) and sports a 2.8” QVGA TFT LCD touchscreen, a 3 megapixel camera with fixed focus and LED flash (or ‘flashlight’ as HTC term it) whilst, in terms of additional connectivity, you can factor in Bluetooth with EDR and A2DP but, alas, no WiFi.

Naturally the HTC Smart, which measures in at 104 x 55 x 12.8 mm and which runs the Brew Mobile Platform, comes with an integrated media player which specifically supports .aac, .amr, .qcp, .mid, .m4a, .mp3, .wma, .wav audio and .mp4, .3gp, .3g2, .m4v video file formats with a 3.5mm stereo jack allowing end users to hook up headphones but if you’re looking for a host of additional features you’ll need to keep in mind that the HTC Smart is very much aimed at the budget smartphone market – so you’ll need to reel in those expectations accordingly. Thus, along with dispensing with WiFi there’s also no mention of features such as integrated GPS, digital compass, etc, etc.

Offering a purported battery life of up to 370 minutes for WCDMA or 450 minutes for GSM in terms of talktime and up to 600 hours of standby time, HTC are yet to offer any indication as to the HTC Sense’s pricing at this juncture.
