Dell has been a busy little bee at CES 2010 and it has announced a few interesting devices. Naturally most of them are upcoming PCs but the company has also confirmed the Dell Mini 3 and revealed an interesting 5-inch tablet.

The Dell Mini 3 is an Android smartphone which should arrive later this year from AT&T. Dell didn’t specifically say that but AT&T told everyone yesterday that it’s going to launch five Android handsets in the first half of the year with one of them being manufactured by Dell. Logically we assume, like everyone else, that the Dell Mini 3 is destined to end up on AT&T’s shelves when the two parties involved are good and ready.

The 5-inch tablet presented at CES is probably even more interesting. It’s funny how everyone thinks about tablets these days, isn’t it? The prototype is similar to the Dell Streak, a previously leaked device, and it could very well compete against the iPod touch and the Zune HD once it gets official later this year.

As you expect the company, famous for its PCs, has big plans for the upcoming year. Its Inspiron, Studio and Alienware systems will be refreshed and you can expect them to bring you those hot new Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors.

But here’s what Dell presented at CES 2010 in terms of computers:

  • Alienware M11x – 11-inch gaming laptop, the smallest of its kind
  • Alienware OptX AW2310 23-inch 3D Full HD widescreen monitor – priced at $499 without the NVIDIA 3D Vision Kit
  • Alienware M17x, M15x – dedicated gaming laptops ready to embrace Intel Core chips
  • Inspiron 14, 15, 17 – redesigned laptops that include Intel Core i5 processors, 16:9 aspect HD displays, SRS Premium Sound with prices starting at $849. Systems packing an Intel Core i3 processor will be available later this month with prices starting at $569
  • Inspiron 580, 580s – new desktop lines with prices starting at just $269
  • Studio 14, 15, 17 – new laptops that will feature Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. Prices will start at $699, $849 and $949, respectively.
  • Studio XPS 8100 – new desktop to replace the old XPS 8000 model with prices starting at $749.

As you can see, the official press release has been very succinct. We’ll talk more about each one of them once more details about these brand new Dell products become available.
