Panasonic is adding four new very compact new digital cameras to their Lumix line. The Lumix FP1, FP3, F3 and FH20 are all new cameras that the Japanese giant is adding to their bullpen. Starting with the FP3, which will feature a 14.1-megapixel sensor, 4x zoom, and a 3-inch touchscreen on the back, and has the ability to record HD video.
The next in line, the FP1, has a 12.1-megapixel sensor, also with 4x zoom, and a 2.7-inch regular LCD and also has the ability to shoot HD video. In the mid-range, the F3 has a 12.1-megapixel sensor with 4x zoom and HD video, along with face detection features. The FH20 also has the same 14.1-megapixel camera of the first one, and 8x optical zoom.
The information and pictures were leaked on PhotoRumors.com, and came from an “Asian website”. There wasn’t any mention of pricing or release dates, although the leak did say that Panasonic is planning to release new SDXC memory cards. The official word from Panasonic is supposed to be any day now.
