HP Announces Four New Eco-Friendly LCD Monitors

HP seems to be on a roll this days as the company is announcing one product after the other. The hottest of them all should be the much anticipated Microsoft tablet, the Courier, which has been developed by Redmond together with HP.

The company has also announced four new eco-friendly LCD panels: the HP Compaq LA22f, the HP Compaq LE19f, the HP ZR22w and the HP ZR24w which we’re going to look at today.

The HP Compaq LA22f is a 22-inch widescreen eco-friendly LCD monitor which happens to be brominated flame retardants, polyvinyl chloride and Mercury-free. The monitor comes in 100% recyclable corrugated cardboard and the low power WLED- (white LED) backlit panel will require 40% less power than its predecessors. The monitor will offer you a native resolution of 1,680 x 1,050 pixels, a 16:10 aspect ratio display, 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, DisplayPort, VGA, HDCP compliant DVI inputs and USB connectivity.

The HP Compaq LE19f is a 19-inch widescreen eco-friendly LCD monitor which also happens to be BFR, PVC and Mercury-free. It also comes in a recyclable cardboard and it offers up to 50% reduction in power consumption as it also happens to use white LEDs to bring images to life for you. Other features include a native resolution of 1,440 x 900, a 16:10 aspect ratio display, 250 nits brightness, 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a 5ms response time. Like the LA22f, the LE19f will offer you an HDCP compliant DVI input and a VGA input.

The HP ZR22w and the HP ZR24w are a 21.5-inch and 24-inch eco-friendly widescreen LCD monitors, respectively. Both LCD monitors will offer you a native sRGB-class performance, 16.7 million displayable colors, full HD, 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, a 3,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and ultra-wide viewing angles. Inputs include the HDCP-compliant DisplayPort, DVI and VGA ports along the 4-port USB hub and the HP Quick Release. And they will basically consume less energy than their predecessors.
