Samsung has officially announced the Samsung NX10 DSLR digital camera, just weeks after the camera’s existence was leaked here on TFTS and throughout the tech web.  Samsung’s new Micro Four-Thirds digital camera will feature 720p video recording, 14.6 MP still photography and a 3.0-inch AMOLED display.

After a flurry of HD video-enabled DSLRs hit in 2009, Samsung has entered the fray with the Samsung NX10 Micro Four-Thirds DSLR.  A body shot and a few very basic details on the new NX-10 hit before the Christmas holiday, but Samsung has released official information and images of the NX series leading up to CES 2010.  The new compact DSLR will feature a 14.6 MP sensor for still photography, 720p HD video recording, a 3.0-inch AMOLED display and HDMI connectivity– all in a compact case weighing in at .78 lbs.

Samsung claims that the AMOLED display on the NX-10 is a bit of a ground breaker– providing a response rate that clocks in “10,000 times faster than a conventional LCD”.  The AMOLED technology sips less power than its LED counterparts and also provides a greater contrast ratio for more detailed, instant photo feedback.  The Samsung NX-10 DSLR will begin shipping in the Spring of 2010, but pricing information has yet to hit the street.

This looks like a nice little camera, but I don’t think it’s micro four thirds. These are proprietary lenses w/ a different mount.

I think this camera is not a micro four-third system camera, it is a hybrid digital DSLR-class camera!
