ASUS X77 Gaming Laptop Coming Soon?

Although it’s too late for Christmas, rumors of a new ASUS elite gaming notebook have begun circulating the internet. This isn’t a Pine Trail powered netbook, instead, ASUS is going back to basics with a fully-featured 17″ powerhouse notebook. The rumored ASUS X77 will reportedly feature a Core i5 processor and an ATI Radeon HD 5000 series card.
Fudzilla is reporting that the X77 will feature the Intel Core i5-430M processor, which comes in at a clock speed of 2.21 GHz. The X77 will carry the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730, which is currently unreleased and specs for it are unavailable currently.
The X77 will reportedly also come with 4GB of RAM, two 500GB hard drives, HDMI and eSATA ports and the aforementioned 17″ LCD display. Rumor has it that the X77 will be officially detailed at CES next month – with it officially launching shortly after in mid-January. Fudzilla is reporting that it will be priced at €1000 ($1,439) which is about what you’d expect for this quality of gaming notebook.
