Acer Travelmate Timeline Laptop Ready For Business

Acer has released a new series of business-oriented notebook PCs, the Acer Travelmate Timeline series.  These slim-line, no-nonsense CULV laptops provide a Core 2 Duo, Windows 7 experience with a long battery life and the security of Acer’s Bio Protection fingerprint solution.

The Acer Travelmate Timeline series includes the 8571, 8471 and 8371 models, shaping in at 13.3, 14.1 and 15.6-inches respectively with a price range between $899 and $999 to start.  These notebooks are powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor (either the SU9400 or SU7300) with the CULV Intel GS45 Express chipset, providing a 1.40GHz clock that sips power.  Add that to a six-cell battery, and the Acer Travelmate Timeline laptops can run for up to eight hours without a charge on your international business flights.  The Timeline Series offers 3GB or 4GB RAM configurations, 320GB HDD storage and the aforementioned Acer Bio-Protection fingerprint technology to provide personalized locking security.

The most noteworthy aspect of the new Acer Travelmate Timeline series is the design.  The Intel CULV chipset sips power and produces little heat, providing for the slim-line design common with most CULV notebooks.  This version is all-black and no-nonsense, with the same down-to-business appeal of a black suit and tie (or pantsuit).  The graphical bells and whistles are decidedly left out for a serious, slim and sleek design sensibility.
