Digital Media Receivers like the Apple TV, Boxee Box and Slingbox are becoming more and more popular. MSI has thrown their hat into the market with the Movie Station HD1000 – a device that will stream digital media over your network to your television.
The Movie Station HD1000 is capable of resolutions up to 1080p, and carriers HDMI, Component and Composite outputs. Users will be able to choice between WiFi, or Ethernet for their streaming goodness. Even without being attached to a network, the Movie Station HD1000 can play media files stored on a USB drive that is directly plugged into the back.
The Movie Station HD1000 has a PS3-like sleek black look, but unfortunately, is only shipping in Germany for the time being. Technologiefanatikers can pick up the Movie Station HD1000 for around €99 (or $142). Sadly, the HD1000 seems a bit steep on price and low on features. Let’s hold out hope for a second revision.
