MSI MT-V660 PMP Flatters the Zune HD [The MSI MT-V660 PMP Takes Design Cues From The Microsoft Zune HD]

The design of the MSI MT-V660 PMP might look a bit familiar. Its angled corners, brushed aluminum rear, black base and vertically-justified screen look awfully similar to the Zune HD. While imitation is a fine form of flattery, the MSI MT-V660 portable media player has the strengths to stand on its own regardless of the design similarities.
The MSI MT-V660 PMP is powered by a Rockchip RK2806 chipset. It features a 3.2-inch display, a tv-output and a laundry list of codecs. Specifically, it supports MKV, AVI, RM, MP4, FLV, VOB, MPG, DAT, MOV and 3GP files for video, and MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, OGG, WAV and AAC files for audio. Once your eyes adjust from the flurry of capitalized abbreviations, feel free to take confidence in the fact that MSI’s new portable media player should play anything you throw at it.
The MSI MT-V660 will feature its own UI with picture viewing, a calendar, a calculator, games and an ebook reader beyond the standard audio and video playback. Information about pricing and availability have yet to be published, neither have details about the MSI MT-V660′s storage capacity options.
