Audio Technica Releases ATH-ANC1 QuietPoint Headphones

Audio Technica has released a new pair of noise-cancelling headphones, the ATH-ANC1 QuietPoint Headphones. These on-ear headphones feature active noise reduction technology that blocks up to 85% of nearby ambient noise– while providing clear audio across the full spectrum of audible sound.
The Audio Technica ATH-ANC1 QuietPoint headphones separate the noise-cancellation system from the headset unit, providing a lighter, more comfortable wearing experience for the listener. The noise-cancelling audio unit is instead located inline with the signal cord along with its AAA battery power source. That module reduces ambient noise by 18dB, while the headphones themselves deliver up to 105dB of audio.
The ATH-ANC1 drivers measure 1.4 inches in diameter, pushing up to 105dB between a 10Hz-20kHz frequency response Should the battery run out, these speakers will continue to produce sound from the signal source. The QuietPoint noise reduction system itself can operate even when the music is off, providing a quiet environment for travel, work and even at home.
Audio Technica’s ATH-ANC1 QuietPoint Headphones will begin shipping in January for $130. Each unit will include a 1.6-foot extension cable, an airline adapter and a standard AAA battery.
