HTC Legend Detailed, More Pictures Shown [HTC's Upcoming Low-End Smartphone Revaled]

HTC Legend

The existence of the HTC Legend was revealed in a leak of HTC’s 2010 product roadmap earlier this month, but now, tech blog Ar.is has revealed more information on the upcoming HTC smartphone, including detailed tech specs for the device.

Details on the HTC Legend are that it will be marketed under HTC’s “Lifestyle” line of products and will most likely be a low-end smartphone in the marketplace. The phone will also reportedly feature a AMOLED (ultra-light LED technology for mobile phones) touchscreen, along with an ‘optical mouse’, both of which will be firsts for HTC phones.

The HTC Legend will use Qualcomm’s new low-cost mobile processor, the MSM7227, which has a clockspeed of 600 MHz, which puts it a bit faster than other current Android phones (currently). The Legend will come with 512MB of on board flash storage, along with 256MB of RAM, with a microSD slot for expansion. The phone will feature a 5-megapixel camera and a 3.2-inch touchscreen, with Bluetooth and WiFi support. Of course, expect the Legend to come with some flavor of Android 2 (either 2.0 or 2.1).

Rumors report that the phone is ‘definitely’ coming to T-Mobile UK with T-Mobile US as another ‘likely’ choice. The HTC Legend will be further detailed at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February, with a release expected in March.
