Logitech Squeezebox Touch Delayed for Next Year

Although announced back in June and touted for a release this December, in time for Christmas, the new Logitech Squeezebox Touch is taking longer than expected before it makes it to the production lines as a company spokesman has announced that “due to an unexpected product delay, this product will not be available (for review or sale) until February 2010″.
Although we reckon the news is saddening, at least it’s “something” that the Squeezebox Touch hasn’t been canceled. That’s because the device comes with a 4.3-inch color, captive touchscreen display and boasts Wi-Fi (802.11g) connectivity making for a real entertainment hub that is capable to play audio and video files as it brings MP3, FLAC, WAV, AIFF, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, AAC, Apple Lossless, WMA Lossless, APE and MPC file format support. On top of that, the Squeezebox Touch offers access to internet radio stations by allowing MP3, Ogg, and WMA radio streams.
There’s no word when exactly in February the Logitech SqueezeBox Touch makes it to your doorstep, so better save some to make sure you afford one.
