LG have announced that the company’s first Windows mobile 6.5 handset, the new LG IQ, is to be officially released in Canada on Telus in time for Christmas. Billed as the fastest carrier-linked phone in North America, the LG IQ runs on the super snappy 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, has GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100MHz support.
Bringing the power and productivity of a Windows phone, the new LG IQ comes with a sleek and stylish design that get the eye, but also counts on its specs to charm. We’re speaking of a 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, the regular Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR and Wi-Fi (b/g) connectivity, built-in GPS to make sure you’re always on track and LG’s slightly customized S-Class user interface.

On top of that, LG IQ carries a 5-megapixel camera for enhanced imagery, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard that makes texting and emailing extremely easy, and a fingerprint scanner.
Price wise, the new LG IQ is yours for $100 if you put your signature on a three year contract with Telus, or $500 for the contract-free version. Any of our Canadian users craving for one?
