HTC Releases HTC HD2 Camera Issue (Pink Tinge Photos) Hotfix

We reported back last month concerning the widely reported issues with the HTC HD2’s camera which saw images captured with the HD2’s camera gaining an infuriating pink tinge and now, somewhat down the line, we’re pleased to advise HD2 owners that HTC have at long last acted to resolve the pink tinge issue with a hotfix.

According to HTC, “This update for HTC HD2 delivers clear digital picture quality like never before. Living up to the name of “HD” this phone and its twin LED flash will take beautiful pictures for you to cherish your memories. Displayed in brilliant vibrant colors on its 4.3 inch screen, HTC HD2 camera will delight you” whilst also adding that “This update is only applicable to ROM version is equal to 1.60.XXX.X, or lower” (sic).
The hotfix, which is available now, is available from here – though you’ll need to ensure that you have Microsoft ActiveSync installed on your Windows XP PC or Windows Mobile Device Center on your Windows Vista PC in order to obtain the fix.
